I could not find the replacement part at Home Depot, so I checked out Amazon, purchased and installed this one with no problem at all. Thanks for supplying this product so that I didn't have to go through trouble to replace the entire fixture. It has an open faced impeller which probably allows for the greater air flow than the fan it replaced. Had a hard time finding it anywhere else besides Amazon, though I didn't feel like trying very hard. Shipping cost $7 and there was no free shipping option, but it arrived within 2 days of placing the order so it's a wash. I hate to admit it, but I'm using Amazon for more and more stuff. Perfect!!, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Broan Replacement Bath Ventilator Motor and blower wheel # 97012038, 50 CFM, .9 amps; 120 Volts Take off light shield.Unplug the light and fan from the shroud. Take out a couple screws, drop the motor unit. Take out two more screws. Press the fan onto the drive/spin shaft and viola. Screw the new motor back into the motor housing. Reassemble unit and TA-DA! All is like new. Quiet and works well. I replaced two units in the bathroom and if they last another 20 years I'll be more than happy. |
